Integrated reversing starter with PROFIBUS DP for ET 200X
The Siemens 3RK1300-0HS01-1AA0 is an EM 300 RS electromechanical reversing starter designed for the ET 200X distributed I/O system. It integrates a reversing contactor pair, bimetal overload relay, and PROFIBUS DP communication into a single IP65 enclosure — meaning it can be mounted directly on a machine frame or conveyor section without a separate control cabinet. The setting range of 0.55…0.8 A and AC-3 motor rating of 0.21 kW at 400 V size it for small reversing drives like shuttle tables, diverters, or agitators in food-and-bev or material-handling lines. The IP65 rating means the housing and all connections withstand washdown environments — suitable for direct machine-mount deployment where hose-down cleaning is routine. The 0.55…0.8 A setting range is the bimetal overload trip window. At the low end it protects a 0.18 kW motor; at the high end it covers the full 0.21 kW AC-3 rating. The short-circuit breaking capacity is 50 A at 400 V — coordinated with the upstream circuit breaker per the manufacturer's selectivity tables. For a 0.21 kW motor drawing roughly 0.55 A full load, the 50 A SCCR gives ample headroom for Type 1 or Type 2 coordination with a 10 A or 16 A MCB.
Panel fit and wiring
The 3RK1300-0HS01-1AA0 measures 140 mm wide by 270 mm high by 134 mm deep. The main current circuit connects via tab terminals — 6.3 mm or 4.8 mm Faston tabs typical for ET 200X modules. The 9-pole motor feeder and 9-pole power connection are pre-wired via the ET 200X backplane; no additional control wiring is needed for the reversing function. The PROFIBUS DP connection is made through the bus connector on the module face, with the address set via rotary switches.
