It's a self-contained motor starting and protection unit — not a bare contactor — integrating a bimetal overload relay, short-circuit protection via circuit-breakers, and a motor brake output into one IP65 housing. Communication and brake control
PROFIBUS DP onboard means this starter connects directly to the ET 200X backplane bus — no separate gateway needed. The integrated motor brake output (DC 24 V / 3 A) is for externally supplied brakes, saving a separate brake rectifier or contactor. The 9-pole motor feeder and 9-pole power connection are purpose-built for the ET 200X system cabling.
