Reversing starter for distributed motor control
The Siemens 3RK1300-1BS01-1AA3 is an electromechanical reversing starter from the SIRIUS EM 300 RS family, designed for the ET 200X distributed I/O system. It switches a 0.75 kW motor at 400 V in AC-3 duty, with a bimetal overload relay adjustable from 1.4 A to 2.0 A. The IP65 enclosure lets it mount directly on the machine frame or in a washdown zone — no separate control cabinet needed for the motor branch. The 0.75 kW AC-3 rating at 400 V means it handles the starting and stopping of a standard three-phase squirrel-cage induction motor under full load — the duty cycle that matters for conveyors, pumps, and small fans. The setting range of 1.4...2.0 A covers the full-load current of common 0.75 kW motors at 400 V; match the dial to the motor nameplate FLA.
PROFIBUS DP and brake control
This reversing starter includes a bus communication module for PROFIBUS DP, so it connects directly to the ET 200X backplane and reports status and diagnostics over the fieldbus. The integrated motor brake output (product component Motor brake output: Yes) supplies the holding brake on a motor with an internal brake rectifier — the 9-pole motor feeder carries both power and brake control in one cable. The main current circuit terminates via tab terminals (Type of electrical connection for main current circuit: tab terminals), which mate with the ET 200X power distribution module. The 9-pole power connection handles the reversing contactor pair, overload relay, and brake supply in a single plug-in assembly.
Enclosure and environmental limits
Rated IP65, so the enclosure is dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets — suitable for installation in food-processing, packaging, or automotive assembly areas where washdown is routine. The operating ambient temperature range is 0 to 55 °C. Dimensions: 270 mm high, 140 mm wide, 134 mm deep. The short-circuit breaking capacity (Icu) at 400 V is 50 A, coordinated with the upstream circuit-breaker type short-circuit protection (Design of short-circuit protection: circuit-breakers).
