The Siemens 3RK1322-0BS02-0AA4 is an AS-i compact starter — an electromechanical direct-on-line (DOL) motor starter with integrated bimetal overload protection, designed for distributed installation in IP65 enclosures on the factory floor. It communicates over the AS-interface protocol (not PROFIBUS DP), so it drops into an AS-i bus network without a separate gateway for the motor branch. The setting range is 0.14...0.2 A, covering small fractional-horsepower motors up to 0.06 kW at 400 V AC-3 duty — think conveyor drives, small fans, or valve actuators on a production line.
It includes a motor brake output rated for 500 V DC / 1 A, which means it can directly control a DC brake coil on the motor — no separate brake relay needed.
