What the ratings mean for fit
The 0.28–0.4 A setting range and 0.1 kW at 400 V AC-3 define the motor it can reverse-start — small three-phase induction motors up to that power. The bimetal overload matches motor thermal characteristics directly; no separate overload relay needed. Short-circuit breaking capacity of 50 kA at 400 V means this starter can interrupt faults up to that level without upstream fuses needing to clear first — useful when the feeder transformer or bus has high available fault current. The integrated motor brake output (product component Motor brake output = Yes) handles a 400 V AC brake coil, so a separate brake contactor or relay is not required for motors with holding brakes.
