The Siemens 3RK1322-1AS02-1AA0 is a SIRIUS AS-i compact reversing starter — a fully enclosed motor control unit that combines a reversing contactor, bimetal overload relay, and AS-Interface bus communication in one IP65 housing. It is designed for distributed motor control in conveyor, packaging, and material-handling lines where the starter mounts directly on the machine frame rather than back in a central panel. The electromechanical switching contacts and bimetal motor protection are rated for reversing duty on a 0.55 kW motor at AC-3 400 V, with an adjustable full-load current range of 1.1 to 1.6 A.
IP65 enclosure and field-mounting reality
This allows direct mounting on the machine frame in washdown zones, eliminating the need for a separate control cabinet and the associated gland plates and cable trays. AS-Interface bus integration
