The Siemens 3RK1322-1AS02-1AA1 is a SIRIUS AS-interface compact reversing starter — an electromechanical motor starter with reversing contactors, a bimetal overload relay, and integrated AS-i bus communication, all in a single IP65 enclosure rated for washdown environments. It is designed for direct-on-line reversing control of small three-phase motors up to 0.55 kW AC-3 at 400 V, with a setting range of 1.1 to 1.6 A.
The 0.55 kW AC-3 rating at 400 V defines the maximum motor load this starter can handle under standard starting conditions (three-phase induction motor, starting current ~6–8× rated). The setting range of 1.1 to 1.6 A on the bimetal overload relay lets you match the full-load current of the motor within that window — set it to the motor nameplate FLA.
Integration and connectivity
Communication is via AS-interface protocol — no PROFIBUS DP option. The starter includes two integrated inputs and a motor brake output rated 24 V DC / 3 A. Main current circuit connects via tab terminals; motor outgoing feeder uses a 9-pole connector.
