Motor starter, IP65, 24 V DC — direct-on-line with configurable trip class
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RK1325-6KS41-0AA3 is a fully enclosed direct starter rated for 0.75 kW at 400 V and 1 hp at 575/600 V, running on a 24 V DC control supply (20.4…28.8 V). Trip class is user-selectable among CLASS 5, 10, 15, or 20, so you dial in the exact thermal protection for the motor load (short-cycle or high-inertia start). Four digital inputs are onboard for local start/stop or interlock signals, and addressing is done through a M12 plug — no DIP-switch ladder inside the enclosure. Communication rides on AS-Interface (no PROFIBUS or PROFINET on this variant). The main power circuit connects via a HAN Q4/2 plug per ISO 23570, which speeds panel wiring and makes swap-out a disconnect-and-plug operation.
Mounting and environment — screw-fixed, multi-orientation, shock-rated
Fastening method is screw fixing (no DIN-rail clip on this enclosure). The unit accepts vertical, horizontal, or flat mounting positions, though the recommended orientation is horizontal for best thermal convection. Ambient operating range is -25…+55 °C; storage and transport tolerate -40…+70 °C. Shock resistance is 12g for 11 ms, vibration resistance 7 mm / 2g — figures that suit conveyor drives and pump skids with moderate mechanical shock.
Dimensions and footprint — 159 x 294 x 215 mm
The enclosure measures 159 mm deep, 294 mm wide, and 215 mm high. That footprint is larger than a typical DIN-rail contactor + overload block, but the IP65 rating means it replaces a separate panel and gland plate — the trade-off is space for direct machine mounting.
