SIRIUS direct starter with AS-Interface
The Siemens 3RK1325-6LS41-0AA3 is a SIRIUS motor starter in a direct-start design, rated 5.5 kW at 400 V and 7.5 hp at 460/480 V, with an IP65 enclosure that lets it mount directly on the machine frame rather than inside a control cabinet. It communicates over AS-Interface and provides 4 digital inputs for local sensor wiring, with device addressing via an M12 plug.
Trip class and motor protection
Selectable trip classes 5, 10, 15, and 20 let you match the overload curve to the motor's thermal time constant — Class 10 for standard squirrel-cage motors, Class 20 for high-inertia loads like fans or crushers where the start current lasts longer. The starter handles motors up to 5.5 kW at 400 V, 5.5 kW at 500 V, and 10 hp at 575/600 V, with ON-delay of 85 ms and OFF-delay of 65 ms for controlled sequencing.
Enclosure and mounting
IP65 protection means the unit withstands hose-directed water and dust ingress — suitable for washdown zones in food processing or outdoor conveyor lines without a separate cabinet. Mounts in vertical, horizontal, or flat orientation via screw fixing; the 294 x 215 x 159 mm envelope fits within a typical machine-mount footprint. Rated for shock at 12g / 11 ms and vibration at 7 mm / 2g, so it holds up on reciprocating presses or vibrating screens without loosening connections.
Supply and environmental limits
Operates on 24 V DC nominal with a permissible range of 20.4 to 28.8 V and an absolute maximum of 31.6 V — the 26.5 V minimum is the lower bound for guaranteed performance. Ambient operating range is -25 to +55 °C; storage and transport tolerance extends to -40 to +70 °C, which covers cold warehouse staging and hot-weather freight.
