Reversing starter for washdown zones
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RK1395-6KS41-3AD0 is a reversing motor starter rated at 0.75 kW at 400 V AC, drawing 2 A per phase. It handles reversing and on-site operation directly, with no direct-start function. The 24 V DC supply (20.4–28.8 V range) powers the control logic and four digital inputs plus two digital outputs. IP65 protection means the enclosure withstands washdown and dust ingress — suitable for food-and-bev or wet-area panel mounting. Screw fixing and three mounting orientations (vertical, horizontal, flat) simplify integration into existing enclosures. Trip class selection covers CLASS 5, 10, 15, and 20, letting you match the thermal overload curve to the motor start profile — a 0.75 kW pump on CLASS 10 or a high-inertia conveyor on CLASS 20.
Integration notes for controls integrators
The main circuit connects via a HAN Q4/2 plug per ISO 23570 — no hardwiring to the power terminals. Digital inputs are four, digital outputs two; no PROFINET, PROFIBUS, or AS-Interface onboard, so fieldbus integration requires an external gateway or a higher-level starter variant. Dimensions are 294 mm wide, 215 mm high, 148 mm deep — a substantial footprint for a reversing starter with integrated I/O. Verify panel cutout and door clearance before specifying, especially in retrofit work where the existing enclosure may be tight. Shock resistance is 12g at 11 ms, vibration resistance 7 mm / 2g — robust enough for conveyor and machine-tool environments with moderate mechanical stress.
