SIRIUS direct starter, IP65 enclosure
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RK1395-6KS71-0AD3 is a direct motor starter in an IP65-rated enclosure, rated at 2 A at 400 V AC and supporting trip classes 5, 10, 15, and 20. It operates on a 24 V DC supply (20.4 to 28.8 V range) and includes 4 digital inputs and 2 digital outputs for local control signals. The IP65 rating means the enclosure withstands hose-directed water and dust ingress — suitable for washdown areas on food-and-bev lines or outdoor conveyor sections.
Mounts via screw fixing in vertical, horizontal, or flat orientation; the recommended mounting position is horizontal. Dimensions are 294 mm wide by 215 mm high by 148 mm deep — plan the gland plate and side clearance accordingly. Vibration resistance is 7 mm / 2g; shock resistance is 12g for 11 ms. Pollution degree 3 means it handles conductive pollution in industrial environments without conformal coating.
Control and connectivity
The main power circuit connects via a plug according to ISO 23570, HAN Q4/2. On-delay is 25 ms, off-delay is 35 ms. No PROFINET, PROFIBUS DP, or AS-Interface protocol onboard — this is a standalone direct starter with hardwired I/O. Brake control with 24 V DC is not supported. The unit does not support on-site operation or reverse starting.
