What the ratings mean for fit
The IP65 rating means the enclosure is dust-tight and protected against water jets — suitable for washdown environments on food, beverage, or packaging lines where you can't hide the starter in a cabinet. You can mount it directly on the machine frame in vertical, horizontal, or flat orientation, with screw fixing. The 5.5 kW at 400 V rating (12 A) matches a standard 7.5 hp IEC motor. The selectable trip class lets you tune the overload curve.
