AS-i standard slave, 4 inputs / 4 outputs, SlimLine S22.5
The Siemens 3RK1400-1CG00-0AA2 is a standard AS-Interface slave module in the SlimLine S22.5 form factor, packing 4 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs into a 45 mm wide housing that clips onto 35 mm DIN rail or mounts to a backplate with push-in lugs. Each input is PNP transistor type, 20-30 VDC, with a signal-1 minimum of 5 mA and signal-0 maximum of 1.5 mA — typical for standard 3-wire sensors. The outputs are solid-state, delivering 22-24 VDC at 24 V nominal, with a 4 A aggregate current ceiling across all four channels. Critical for panel wiring: an external auxiliary supply (AUX POWER) of 20-30 VDC is required to power the output circuits, and it must comply with VDE 0106 (PELV), protection class III — that's a separate feed, not drawn from the AS-i bus. The module carries built-in short-circuit protection and induction protection, plus a watchdog that monitors bus communication. Status is visible via green AS-Interface LED, yellow I/O LEDs per channel, and a red fault LED.
Mounting and connection
Fastens onto 35 mm standard DIN rail or wall-mounts using the push-in lugs. Dimensions: 45 mm wide, 108 mm high, 86 mm deep — fits a standard control cabinet footprint. Spring-loaded terminals accept 2 x (0.25-1.5) mm² solid or stranded, or 2 x (0.25-1) mm² with end sleeves; AWG 24-16 solid or stranded.
