AS-i Load Feeder — 4 Inputs / 2 PNP Outputs
The 3RK1400-1MG01-0AA1 is an AS-Interface load feeder module with 4 digital inputs and 2 digital outputs, each output switching at 0.5 A in DC-13 / DC-14 duty via PNP transistors. The aggregate thermal current across all outputs is capped at 2 A — the per-channel limit is the binding constraint for solenoid or contactor loads, not the total. Inputs are 2-conductor, 24 V DC sensing at 6 mA minimum signal current, with a 0.4 m maximum cable length from the IN terminal to the sensor. The module draws 8–12 mA from the AS-Interface bus for its own electronics. Built-in short-circuit protection on the outputs, polarity reversal protection on the supply, and induction suppression mean the module handles the common field-wiring faults without external clamp diodes or fuses per channel.
Panel Fit and Wiring
Snaps onto 35 mm DIN rail, 45 mm wide — fits a standard 45 mm slot in a Siemens AS-i gateway or standalone enclosure. IP20 rated, so it belongs inside a cabinet, not on the machine frame. AS-Interface and auxiliary power connect via 0.5–0.75 mm² flexible wire; I/O wiring uses spring-loaded terminals accepting 0.8–2.5 mm² flexible without end sleeves. The PE conductor lands on the support rail with 2.5 mm² flexible. ID code F, standard slave type. The module retains its last address after the 15th addressing procedure — useful when swapping a failed unit without re-addressing from the master.
Lifecycle and Sourcing Reality
This module is a phased-out product per the manufacturer. Sourcing runs through independent distribution — quantities are confirmed at RFQ, and the module is quoted to order against the BOM line. The built-in watchdog, status display for AS-Interface communication and auxiliary voltage, and the 0–55 °C operating range match the original Siemens AS-i portfolio. For a panel already wired with spring-loaded IDC terminals, this module drops in without rewiring the I/O side.
