What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3RK1400-1MG02-0WB1-ZX95 is an AS-Interface busbar extender module that adds 4 digital inputs and 2 digital outputs to a 60 mm busbar system, operating on 24 V DC. It extends the reach of the AS-i network, placing I/O points directly where the sensors and actuators live on the machine frame, rather than pulling every wire back to a central cabinet.
Where it fits in the machine
The module clips onto the 60 mm AS-Interface busbar, which runs along the machine profile. The 4 inputs handle limit switches, proximity sensors, or pushbuttons at the point of use; the 2 outputs drive small solenoid valves or indicator lamps. Power and data come through the busbar itself — no separate fieldbus cable run needed. The 24 V DC supply is drawn from the AS-i power supply unit.
