What this module does in the panel
The 3RK1402-3CG00-0AA2 is a standard AS-Interface slave module from the SlimLine S22.5 family — a 45 mm wide slice that fits a 35 mm DIN rail or mounts direct to a backplate with push-in lugs. It carries four PNP digital inputs and four relay changeover outputs, all living on the AS-i bus with addressing set through the front socket (ID/ID2 code 0/F). The green AS-i LED and yellow I/O LEDs give you a quick status read at the cabinet door; the red FAULT LED catches a bus dropout or a shorted sensor line. Inputs are PNP — 5 mA minimum signal current, 1.5 mA max for a logic 0 — and the module runs on a 20-30 VDC supply pulled from the AS-i flat cable. The relay outputs are rated 1 A at 24 V, 0.2 A at 110 V, and 0.1 A at 230 V, with a floating changeover contact per channel. External short-circuit protection is mandatory: a 6 A gL/gG fuse per output group keeps the relay contacts from welding shut on a fault.
Wiring and connection
Terminals accept 2 x (0.25 - 1.5) mm² solid or stranded, or 2 x (0.25 - 1) mm² with end sleeves — AWG 24-16. Spring-loaded cage clamps need the detachment tool (listed in accessories) for release. The 2- and 3-wire connection technology means you can daisy-chain sensor supply or run separate commons per channel.
