What this module does on an AS-i line
The 3RK1901-1DE12-1AA0 is a single data decoupling module designed to separate the data and power on an AS-Interface network. It sits in the IP20 control cabinet, 22.5 mm wide on a 35 mm DIN rail or wall-mounted with plug-in flaps. It handles both grounded and non-grounded AS-i networks, includes ground fault detection, and is suitable for safety-related circuits. The module supplies up to 120 W of active power, drawing a maximum of 4.1 A at the input and delivering up to 4 A at the output.
Wiring and terminal capacity
Solid wire connections accept 1x (0.5 to 4 mm²) or 2x (0.5 to 2.5 mm²). With ferrule processing, the range narrows to 1x (0.5 to 2.5 mm²) or 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²). AWG for auxiliary contacts is 2x (20 to 14). The module operates on 21 to 32 V DC input, with an electronic short-circuit protection design. Outputs are short-circuit proof, and the signaling contacts include a test function.
Environmental limits and mounting
Operating temperature range is -25 to +70 °C, with storage from -40 to +85 °C. Mounting position is vertical, and the module measures 121.2 mm deep by 101.3 mm high by 22.5 mm wide. The SlimLine S22.5 form factor is designed for dense cabinet layouts where space is tight. The 22.5 mm width matches standard terminal block spacing for clean rail organization.
Contact ratings and reset behavior
Auxiliary contacts are rated 3 A at AC-15 at 24 V and 1 A at DC-13 at 24 V. The module supports both external reset and a reset function, but does not have auto-reset capability. Status is indicated via LED display, and the module supports AS-Interface protocol with one output for AS-i maximum.
