What this module does on an AS-i network
The 3RK1901-1DE22-1AA0 is a twin data decoupling module — it sits between the AS-Interface power supply and the yellow AS-i cable, isolating the data signal from the DC power rail so the master can communicate without interference. It handles both grounded and non-grounded AS-i networks, and it's suitable for use in safety-related circuits — a key detail if you're running a safety-rated AS-i slice. The module supplies up to 240 W of active power and draws a maximum input current of 8.2 A DC, delivering up to 4 A DC on the output side. That's enough to power a string of AS-i slaves and sensors downstream.
Mounting and panel fit — SlimLine S22.5
This module is built in the SlimLine S22.5 format — 22.5 mm wide, 101.3 mm high, 121.2 mm deep. That narrow footprint saves DIN rail space in a crowded IP20 cabinet. It snaps onto 35 mm DIN rail or mounts to a backplate using the plug-in flaps. Mounting position is vertical. Wire termination accepts solid conductors 1x 0.5…4 mm² or 2x 0.5…2.5 mm²; with ferrule it's 1x 0.5…2.5 mm² or 2x 0.5…1.5 mm². AWG equivalents for auxiliary contacts are 2x 20…14.
