AS-i flat cable to M12 — what it does
The 3RK1901-2NR11: This is an AS-Interface accessory that transitions the AS-i flat cable to an M12 connector — specifically a 1 m cable assembly with an angled M12 socket, carrying the AS-i bus voltage (U_ASI) without auxiliary power (Uaux). The connection method uses an insulation-piercing technique for the AS-Interface flat cable, so the cable must not end in the feeder — the piercing contacts need the cable to run through the device.

Rated IP67/68/69K, meaning the assembly withstands immersion (1 m depth, continuous) and high-pressure, high-temperature washdown — suitable for food, beverage, and heavy washdown zones on the line. Contact load rating is 4 A max, with an operational current rating of 3 A. The operating voltage follows the AS-Interface specification at 26.5 to 31.6 V. Mounting and wiring
Mounts via screw fixing with a tightening torque of 1.65 N·m — the specified torque is tight enough to hold under vibration but below the plastic creep limit of the housing. Socket pin assignment: pin 1 = ASI+, pin 3 = ASI- — the standard AS-i pinout for M12, so it mates directly with any AS-i M12 device or cordset wired to the same scheme.
