Cable assembly for harsh environments
The Siemens 3RK1902-3NB50 is a pre-assembled 7/8" connector pair — an angled socket on one end and an angled plug on the other, joined by a 5 m unshielded polyurethane cable. The IP67 rating means the mated connectors and cable entry withstand direct water jets and dust ingress, so this assembly is suited for washdown zones on packaging lines or in food-processing areas where standard connectors would fail.
The 7/8" thread coupling is a standard industrial power connector — it mates with the 7/8" receptacles common on AS-Interface power supplies, distributed I/O blocks, and motor starters. The angled outlet reduces the bend radius at the connector face, saving space inside a control cabinet or junction box. With a minimum single-bend radius of 65.25 mm and a multi-bend minimum of 87 mm, the cable can be routed through cable carriers or tight conduit paths without exceeding the flex limit. The molded strain relief and polyurethane sheath provide resistance to mineral oil, grease, and water — though the manufacturer flags those resistances as conditional and application-dependent.
