What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3RK1903-3AD10 is a 130 mm terminal module designed for the F-RS1E-X safety relay / monitoring module. It connects without a supply line and includes coding for shutdown groups, meaning it physically segments the safety circuit so that a fault in one zone doesn't drop power across the whole machine — a common requirement on multi-station assembly lines or packaging cells where you want a jam cleared without a full production stop.
Panel integration
This is a terminal module — it mounts onto the F-RS1E-X base unit, not directly on the DIN rail. The 130 mm length means it occupies a defined slot on the safety module's footprint. No separate supply connection is needed; it draws its power from the module backplane. The coding feature prevents mismatching modules to the wrong shutdown group during panel assembly or field replacement — a practical time-saver when you're swapping a module on a live line.
