AS-i SC22.5 module with four PNP outputs
The Siemens 3RK2100-1CE00-2AA2 is a Slimline Compact I/O module from the SC22.5 series, designed as an AS-Interface A/B slave per Spec. 3.0 with profile S-7.A.7. It provides four digital PNP transistor outputs, each short-circuit proof, with a total module current of 4 A and a DC-13 rating of 2 A per output at 24 V. The module requires an external auxiliary feed (AUX POWER) of 20 to 30 V DC, compliant with IEC 60990 (PELV), protection class III, to supply the output circuits. It draws 45 mA from the AS-Interface bus at 30 V, or 45 mA at 24 V with AS-i Power24V support.
At 22.5 mm wide, 100 mm high, and 120 mm deep, this module fits a standard DIN-rail enclosure with screw and snap-on fastening. The IP20 rating means it is intended for use inside a control cabinet, not in washdown or outdoor locations. Wiring accepts solid conductors: 1x (0.5 to 2.5 mm²) or 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), and finely stranded with ferrule: 1x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) or 2x (0.25 to 1.0 mm²). AWG equivalents are 24 to 14 solid, 24 to 16 for two conductors. Stranded wire without ferrule is not permitted. The module includes built-in induction protection on the outputs, and the ID1 code is factory-set to 7 and cannot be changed. Address setting is done via the front addressing socket.
Shock resistance is rated at 15g / 11 ms for the module alone, or 10g / 11 ms with a device connector attached. The module is classified per EN 61346-2 as function class K. It has no analog or safety-related digital inputs, and no analog outputs — it is a pure digital output block.
