Field I/O slice — 4 PNP outputs, no inputs
The Siemens 3RK2100-1CQ00-0AA3 is a K60 compact digital output module — 4 PNP transistor outputs, zero inputs, built-in short-circuit and induction protection. It lives in the field at IP67, so it mounts directly on the machine frame or conveyor line without a panel. The module needs two supply rails: 16.5-30 V DC for the electronics, plus a separate 20-30 V DC PELV aux supply (per VDE 0106, protection class III) to power the output circuits. That external aux is mandatory — the module won't drive loads off the logic supply alone.
Snaps onto standard DIN rail or mounts to a wall using the K60 mounting plate (plate not included — order separately). Dimensions: 60 mm wide, 152 mm tall, 29 mm deep. Each output comes through an M12 socket with pin 2 and pin 4 carrying the signal, pin 3 as common, and pin 5 tied to the grounding wrist strap in the mounting plate. Sockets 1–4 are blanked off (not assigned). Front addressing socket sets the node ID; the built-in watchdog resets outputs if the fieldbus master drops. Yellow LEDs per channel show I/O state; a green LED confirms aux power is present.
