AS-i Field Output Module, 4-Channel
The Siemens 3RK2100-1CT30-0AA3 is a K20 digital output module for AS-Interface networks, delivering 4 PNP transistor outputs rated at 2 A total at 40 °C. It requires an external 20–30 V DC auxiliary power supply (PELV per VDE 0106, protection class III) to drive the output circuits — the AS-i bus cable alone cannot supply the load current. The module is a full A/B slave compliant with AS-i Specification 3.0, with an ID/ID2 code of A/7 and an I/O configuration of 7. Built for direct field mounting, the IP67 housing (108 × 45 × 20 mm) needs no backplate and accepts M12 connectors for both the AS-i bus and the external AUX supply. Four M12 sockets each map pin 4 to one output (OUT1–OUT4), with pin 3 wired to the common negative. Integrated short-circuit protection, induction suppression, and a watchdog are standard — no external clamp diodes or fuses needed per channel.
This order code is in its current lifecycle stage — still active in the Siemens AS-Interface portfolio.
Integration Notes
Operates from –25 to +70 °C, stores from –40 to +85 °C, and withstands 15 g shock at 11 ms — rugged enough for conveyor-adjacent or washdown-zone mounting. The AS-i bus draws 45 mA from the master; the output load current comes entirely from the external 24 V DC AUX feed, so plan a separate PELV supply in the panel. Yellow LEDs per output and a green LED for AUX power give quick status at the module face; the dual red/green AS-i LED reports bus communication and diagnostics. No mounting plate is required — the module clips directly to a machine frame or bracket.
