Field I/O for AS-i: 4 PNP inputs, IP67
The Siemens 3RK2200-0CQ20-0AA3 is a K45 compact module that puts four PNP digital inputs on the AS-Interface network, rated for direct field mounting at IP67. It operates on a 20-30 VDC sensor supply and draws up to 270 mA total from the AS-i bus. The A/B slave designation means it occupies one of the two addresses available per standard AS-i slave slot, doubling the node count on a single segment.
M12 pinout and wiring
Each of the four M12 sockets carries the same pin assignment: PIN 1 is sensor supply L+, PIN 2 is data input, PIN 3 is sensor supply L-, PIN 4 is data input, and PIN 5 is the ground terminal. The module uses PIN 4/2 as the signal pair — IN1 on socket 1, IN2 on socket 2, IN3 on socket 3, IN4 on socket 4. The ground terminal exits via a flat tab sleeve (2.8 x 0.8 mm, form A) for daisy-chaining the common rail.
Addressing and status indication
Addressing is done through the front addressing socket. The I/O status is shown by a yellow LED per channel, and the AS-Interface diagnostics are indicated by a green/red dual LED.
