4-input AS-Interface field module, IP67
The Siemens 3RK2200-0CT30-0AA3 is a K20-series digital I/O module for AS-Interface networks, providing 4 PNP transistor inputs with no outputs. It draws power and communication from the AS-Interface bus cable, with a total current draw up to 270 mA and a sensor supply rated at 200 mA at 40 °C ambient, derating to 150 mA at 55 °C. The input voltage range is 16.5 to 30 VDC, with a switching threshold of 10 V minimum for a high signal. Rated IP67, this module mounts directly in the field without an enclosure — no mounting plate required. The 20 mm wide housing (45 mm deep, 108 mm tall) fits tight cable-junction boxes or machine-mount locations where panel space is unavailable. Four M12 female sockets accept standard 2- and 3-wire sensors; pin 4 carries the data input on each socket, with pins 1 and 3 providing sensor supply L+ and L- respectively.
I/O mapping and addressing
The module is an A/B slave with ID/ID2 code A/0. Each of the four M12 sockets maps one digital input: socket 1 pin 4 = IN1 (D0), socket 2 = IN2 (D1), socket 3 = IN3 (D2), socket 4 = IN4 (D3). Addressing is set via the M12 female connector — no DIP switches or rotary dials on the module body. I/O status is indicated by a yellow LED per channel; the AS-Interface communication and diagnostics share a green/red dual LED.
Shock resistance is rated at 15 g for 11 ms. The sensor supply outputs are short-circuit and overload protected via the AS-Interface bus. Input current draw is 6 mA minimum for a signal-1 state and 1.5 mA maximum for signal-0.
