AS-i SC22.5 4DI Module — Fit and Supply
The Siemens 3RK2200-2CE00-2AA2 is a Slimline Compact I/O module for control-cabinet use, part of the AS-i SC22.5 family. It provides 4 digital inputs (PNP Type 2) in a 22.5 mm wide housing, with a depth of 120 mm and height of 100 mm. The module is an A/B slave with profile S-0.A.0, supporting 2- and 3-wire sensor technology. Current draw depends on the supply source: 200 mA when powered via the AS-Interface bus, or 500 mA when an auxiliary external feed (Uaux) between 20 and 30 V DC is used. That auxiliary feed is mandatory for powering output circuits and must comply with IEC 60990 (PELV), protection class III. The module also supports AS-i Power24V, drawing 270 mA at 24 V in that configuration. The IP20 rating means it's intended for dry, enclosed control cabinets, not washdown environments.
Shock resistance is 15g / 11 ms for the module alone, or 10g / 11 ms with a device connector attached.
Wiring and Addressing
Terminals accept solid conductors: 1x (0.5 to 2.5 mm²) or 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²). For AWG, solid 1x (24 to 14) or 2x (24 to 16). Finely stranded with core-end processing: 1x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) or 2x (0.25 to 1.0 mm²). Stranded without ferrules is not permitted. Address setting is via the front addressing socket; the factory-set ID1 code is 7, changeable. Input status is indicated by yellow LEDs. The module has 0 analog inputs and 0 analog outputs — purely digital I/O. No safety-related digital inputs are present.
