AS-Interface I/O module for the control cabinet
The Siemens 3RK2400-1CG01-0AA2 is a SlimLine S22.5 AS-Interface I/O module providing 4 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs in a 45 mm wide housing for DIN-rail or wall mounting inside a control cabinet. It operates as an A/B slave compliant with AS-Interface Specification 3.0, addressed via a front addressing socket, with a built-in watchdog and short-circuit protection on the outputs. The module requires an external auxiliary power supply of 20 to 30 V DC for the output circuits, which must comply with VDE 0106 (PELV), protection class III.
Input and output characteristics
The four digital inputs (D0–D3) are PNP transistor type, accepting 20 to 30 V DC, and are configurable for 2- or 3-wire sensor technology. The four digital outputs are solid-state, each channel rated for a signal-1 minimum of 5 A and a signal-0 maximum leakage of 1.5 mA, with an aggregate current limit of 4 A across all outputs. Output voltage at 24 V DC nominal is 22 to 24 V DC, and each output is rated for 200 mA at an ambient temperature of 40 °C.
Spring-loaded terminal connections accept 2 x (0.25 to 1.5) mm² solid or stranded wire, or 2 x (0.25 to 1) mm² with end sleeves; AWG equivalents are 2 x (24 to 16). A detachment tool is listed under accessories.
Status indication and addressing
Status LEDs: green for AS-Interface communication, yellow per I/O channel, red for fault. I/O configuration code is 7; the module supports induction protection on the outputs.
