AS-i I/O Slice for Embedded Integration
The Siemens 3RK2400-1FD00-0AA2 is an AS-Interface communication module delivering 4 digital inputs and 3 digital outputs in a compact, board-level format. It's designed as a special integrated solution — mounts directly via a card-edge board-to-board connector, no DIN rail or enclosure cutout needed.
The four digital inputs are PNP-sourced, switching on 20–30 V DC drawn from the AS-Interface cable — no separate sensor supply needed. Each of the three solid-state outputs delivers 0.7 A at 24 V DC, short-circuit proof, with a built-in freewheel diode for inductive loads. Total current budget across all I/O is 200 mA, and the module draws up to 270 mA from the AS-i bus itself. If your load bank exceeds 0.7 A per channel or you need more than 200 mA aggregate, you'll need to step up to a higher-current AS-i slave or add an external power feed through the PCB contacts.
IP00 rating means no ingress protection — this is a board-level component for a clean, dry enclosure. The card-edge connector carries both AS-i power and the 24 V DC external supply for outputs, so verify the mating connector's pin assignment matches your PCB layout before committing the layout.
