The Siemens 3RK2400-1FQ03-0AA3 is a K60 compact digital I/O module for field deployment — 4 PNP inputs and 3 outputs in an IP67 housing that takes standard M12 sockets. The module needs an external 20-30 VDC supply (AUX POWER) for the output circuits, meeting VDE 0106 PELV, protection class III. Built-in watchdog, short-circuit protection, and induction suppression are standard.
I/O mapping and wiring
The module has seven M12 sockets. Sockets 1–4 handle the four PNP inputs: socket 1 (PIN4 = IN1, PIN2 = IN2), socket 2 (PIN4 = IN2), socket 3 (PIN4 = IN3, PIN2 = IN4), socket 4 (PIN4 = IN4). Sockets 5–7 carry the three outputs: socket 5 (PIN4 = OUT1, PIN2 = OUT2), socket 6 (PIN4 = OUT2), socket 7 (PIN4 = OUT3). Socket 8 is unassigned and shipped closed. PIN1 on every M12 is sensor supply L+, PIN3 is sensor supply L-, PIN5 is the ground terminal tied to the mounting plate's grounding wrist strap. Input voltage range is 20-30 VDC; input circuit is PNP transistor. Signal-1 minimum is 6 mA, signal-0 maximum is 1.5 mA.
