What the 1 A AC-3 rating means for your motor branch
Its headline rating is 1 A at AC-3, 400 V — that is the motor-switching current, not the resistive-heating current. AC-3 duty covers starting and disconnecting squirrel-cage motors under full load, so this unit is sized for small motor branches up to that current.
AS-Interface integration and control supply
This MCU communicates natively over AS-Interface — the protocol is supported on-board, so no external gateway module is needed for the fieldbus link. The control supply is 20.4... 26.4 V DC, which matches the standard AS-Interface power supply voltage. Two digital inputs are integrated into the unit, allowing local sensor signals to be read directly without a separate I/O block. The operating voltage for the main motor circuit is 340... 440 V AC at 50 or 60 Hz.
Environmental and physical fit
IP54 protection means the unit is dust-protected and splash-proof — suitable for installation in control cabinets on the plant floor where occasional dust or water spray is present, but not for direct washdown zones. Dimensions are 205 mm deep, 245 mm wide, and 215 mm high. The brake control output is rated for 400 V AC, allowing direct switching of an AC motor brake without an external contactor.
