The 3RK4320-3EQ54-1BA3 is a Siemens SIRIUS motor starter MCU designed for AS-Interface bus communication — it handles reversing motor control with integrated short-circuit protection and a brake output for 400 V AC brakes. The enclosure measures 205 mm deep by 245 mm wide by 215 mm tall, IP54 rated for dust and splash resistance — suitable for panel-mount in washdown-adjacent areas, not direct hose-down zones.
Mounting and integration notes
Mounts on a vertical surface with ±180° rotation possible; can also be tilted forward or backward by ±22.5° on a vertical surface — gives some flexibility for cable entry orientation in crowded panels. Control supply is 24 V DC nominal (20.4 to 26.4 V DC range), and the unit draws its bus power from the AS-Interface network — two digital inputs are onboard for local sensors or pushbuttons. Ambient operating range -25 to +50 °C; the bimetal overload is self-powered and doesn't add heat load to the panel at rated current.
