AS-Interface motor starter for distributed motor control
AS-Interface protocol is supported natively, so it drops onto a two-wire AS-i bus without a separate gateway — the bus carries both power and I/O data to the starter. Two digital inputs are available for local sensors or pushbuttons, and a motor brake output is built in for holding-brake applications on vertical-axis drives.
AC-3 covers starting and plugging of squirrel-cage motors, so this starter fits small motors (roughly 0.75 kW at 400 V three-phase) on conveyors, pumps, or fans. Operating voltage of 340 to 440 V AC at 50/60 Hz covers standard three-phase supplies across most industrial regions; the control supply is 20.4 to 26.4 V DC drawn from the AS-Interface bus.
Short-circuit protection is provided by circuit breakers, not fuses — coordinate the upstream breaker rating with the starter's 2 A AC-3 rating for selective coordination.
Compliance documentation covers RoHS and REACH (substance prohibitance date 05/01/2012,).
