AS-Interface motor starter with integrated brake control
The 3RK4320-3GQ54-0BA3: It includes a motor brake output rated for 400 V AC, so it handles the brake coil directly without an external contactor — that's one less component to wire and stock. The control supply is 20.4-26.4 V DC, and the unit communicates over AS-Interface (no PROFIBUS or PROFINET onboard). Two digital inputs are built in for local feedback or pushbuttons.
Panel fit and mounting flexibility
The enclosure measures 205 mm deep, 245 mm wide, and 215 mm high — a compact footprint for a motor starter that includes the brake output and bus interface. IP54 rating means it's protected against dust and splashing water, suitable for control cabinets in industrial environments. Mounting is flexible: ±180° rotation possible on a vertical surface, and it can be tilted forward/backward by ±22.5° on a vertical mounting surface — useful when panel layout forces an odd orientation. Ambient operating range is -25 to +50 °C, and the unit is rated for 50/60 Hz supply with a minimum operating frequency of 80 operations per hour.
