The 3RK4320-3KQ54-1BA3: It integrates a reversing contactor, bimetal motor protection (Class 10), and an AS-Interface interface in one unit — reducing panel wiring and component count for reversing applications.
5 A AC-3 at 400 V, Class 10 thermal protection
Control supply is 24 V DC nominal (20.4–26.4 V range), which is the standard for industrial PLC and safety relay outputs — no separate AC control transformer needed in a DC control panel.
AS-Interface bus and integrated motor brake output
The starter communicates via AS-Interface protocol (supports AS-i), with 2 digital inputs on board for local sensors or pushbuttons — reducing the need for a separate I/O block at the motor. A motor brake output is built in, controlled at 400 V AC — suitable for directly switching a holding brake on a reversing conveyor or hoist application without an external brake contactor.
IP54 enclosure, 205 mm depth, current production
Rated IP54, the housing is protected against dust ingress and splashing water — suitable for installation in control cabinets on the plant floor where occasional washdown or dust is present. Physical footprint: 245 mm wide, 215 mm tall, 205 mm deep — confirm panel cutout and clearance for the reversing starter's depth before committing to a retrofit.
