AS-Interface reversing starter, 8 A AC-3
The 3RK4320-3MQ54-1BA2 is a SIRIUS reversing motor starter with integrated AS-Interface communication — it handles motor reversing and overload protection in a single enclosure, cutting panel wiring compared to a contactor-plus-overload build. Control supply is 20.4–26.4 V DC, and the unit communicates over the AS-Interface bus (no PROFIBUS or PROFINET onboard). Two digital inputs are available for local start/stop or interlock signals.
Mounting and environmental fit
IP54 enclosure means it is protected against dust ingress and splashing water — suitable for installation in control cabinets on the plant floor, but not for direct washdown zones. Ambient operating range is -25 to +50 °C. The unit includes a motor brake output (24 V DC brake control is not available on this variant — the brake output is for other voltage options). Short-circuit protection is via circuit-breakers, and the main current circuit has 3 poles.

Compliance documentation includes RoHS substance prohibitance dated 05/01/2012. The reference code per IEC 81346-2 is Q (power circuit).
