The bimetal overload relay provides motor protection with Trip Class 10, so it trips fast enough for most general-purpose motor applications without nuisance stops on a normal start. This is a DC-controlled unit: the control supply voltage is 20.4–26.4 VDC, and the main operating voltage range is 340–440 V AC at 50/60 Hz. The enclosure carries an IP55 rating, which means it's dust-protected and withstands water jets — suitable for installation in industrial environments where washdown or airborne particulates are a concern, though not for submersion.
The starter measures 182 mm wide, 220 mm high, and 145 mm deep. It mounts on a vertical surface and allows ±180° rotation and ±22.5° forward/backward tilt, so panel layout can be adjusted to fit cable entry or clearance constraints. The AS-Interface bus connection eliminates separate point-to-point I/O wiring — the motor starter communicates directly over the AS-i network, which reduces field wiring and simplifies diagnostics in distributed control architectures.
