Reversing capability in a single enclosure
The 3RK4353-3NR58-1BA0: This SIRIUS reversing starter integrates forward and reverse contactors plus a bimetal overload relay in one IP55 housing, eliminating the need for an external reversing contactor pair and the interlock wiring. The MCU-controlled on-site logic handles the reversing sequence and motor protection locally — no PLC is required for the basic start/stop/reverse functions, though two digital inputs are available for external control signals.
AC-3 motor switching and trip coordination
Supply voltage for the control circuit is 184–253 V at 50 Hz and 196–253 V at 60 Hz. The main motor circuit operates on 340–440 V AC. The unit draws its control power from the line side, so no separate control transformer is needed within that voltage window.
Panel fit and environmental limits
Envelope is 145 mm deep, 182 mm wide, 220 mm tall (-). Ambient operating range is -25 to +35 °C. Above 35 °C the thermal overload must be derated — the bimetal element's trip curve shifts with ambient temperature. The maximum operating frequency is 80 cycles per hour, which governs the start/stop/reverse duty cycle in high-throughput applications.
