AS-Interface Master for ET 200SP
The Siemens 3RK7137-6SA00-0BC1 is an AS-Interface Master module that plugs into an ET 200SP base unit — no DIN-rail footprint of its own, just the 20 mm wide slice on the backplane. It communicates over the ET 200SP backplane bus, so the data path to the controller runs through the rack, not a separate fieldbus cable. Power comes from the AS-i line and the backplane bus; the module draws up to 70 mA at 30 V from the AS-i side and 20 mA from the backplane. Total dissipation is 1.7 W — low enough that adjacent slices in a dense rack won't cook each other.
Diagnostics at a Glance
Nine LED indicators — DIAG, AS-i OK, AS-i FAULT, PF, CER, CM, AUP, PWR, and the SL_Xy pair — give you the module and network health at a glance. On a midnight startup that saves pulling out a laptop just to see if the master sees its slaves. Galvanic isolation on the AS-i side means a short on the yellow cable won't take down the backplane bus. Insulation rated at 500 V.
Cycle Times and Data Access
With 31 slaves on the AS-i line the master cycle time is 5 ms; with 62 slaves it doubles to 10 ms. That's the bus speed floor — the ET 200SP backplane won't add latency. Digital I/O data maps straight into the process image; analog data moves via data record transfer and peripheral addresses. No extra mapping blocks needed for simple digital lines.
The IP20 housing and pluggable base-unit mount mean it's a panel-internal component — not for washdown or outdoor locations.
