Where this relay earns its DIN slot
The 3RP2005-2BW30 is a SIRIUS multifunction timer from Siemens covering ON-delay, OFF-delay, additive ON-delay, pulse-shaping, and star-delta duties in one module — one part number replaces what would otherwise be a stack of single-function timers in a motor starter or sequence-control lineup.
Coil and contact ratings
Coil accepts 24–240 V on both AC (50/60 Hz) and DC, so the same SKU feeds off a 24 VDC pilot rail or a 120/230 VAC control transformer without re-specifying. Screw terminals accept 24–14 AWG solid or stranded wire. The relay output is a single-pole changeover handling low-power switching — sized for the coil side of contactors and indicator loads, not for direct motor switching.
Timing range and repeat behaviour
Adjustable time span runs 0.05–100 s across a scale marked from initial value 0.8 to full-scale 1.1, with recovery time of 150 ms after the timer resets before it will accept the next trigger. Minimum ON period is 35 ms, short enough for pulse-shaping duty on fast sequence pulses without chatter.
Footprint on the rail
Mounting position is unrestricted (any orientation), which matters when the timer lands in a tall, narrow panel section rather than a horizontal wireway.
Environmental envelope
Degree of pollution 3 with basic insulation — a standard industrial panel rating, meaning the relay sits in a normal closed enclosure but not in a washdown or outdoor cabinet without further protection.
