Integrator note — 3RQ4070-1SB30
The Siemens 3RQ4070-1SB30 is a SIRIUS 3RQ4 coupling relay in the narrow 6.2 mm housing. It takes a 24 V DC optocoupler input and switches a single normally-open contact rated for 6 A thermal current. The screw terminal version fits standard DIN-rail panels where space per channel is tight.
The 6 A thermal current (Ith) is the continuous carry rating through the NO contact at ambient temperature. For resistive loads at 24 V DC, that is the full rating; for inductive loads or higher switching frequencies, derate per the load curve. The 6.2 mm width is the key panel-space figure — it packs into high-density terminal blocks alongside other SIRIUS narrow devices. The optocoupler input isolates the PLC or controller output from the load circuit. Input is 24 V DC nominal; verify the pick-up and drop-out thresholds against your controller's output module to avoid false triggering on marginal voltage.
