The Siemens 3RS7000-2AE00 is a SIRIUS single-range signal converter — one channel, 0...10 V input, active design. It snaps onto a DIN rail (6.2 mm wide, 93 mm tall, 72.5 mm deep) and sits inside a control panel at IP20. The LED display gives you a local status check without needing a handheld meter.
The 0...10 V input is a standard analog signal from sensors, transmitters, or PLC analog outputs — so this converter conditions that voltage for further processing or isolation. It draws only 0.29 W, which keeps the thermal load low in a crowded DIN-rail row. The 20 mV maximum ripple on the supply means you need a clean DC rail; a noisy 24 V bus from a shared power supply could push the output outside spec. Galvanic isolation between input and output is present — that protects the downstream controller from ground loops or voltage spikes on the sensor side.
Integration notes
Wire it with 20...14 AWG solid or stranded (1 conductor per terminal). The rise time is 6 ms — fast enough for most process signals, but not for high-speed encoder pulses.
