The Siemens 3RS7005-1FE00 is a SIRIUS multi-range signal converter — one channel, active and switchable, designed to take a 0-10 V, 0-20 mA, or 4-20 mA input and hand it back out on the same signal types. It snaps onto a DIN rail (6.2 mm wide), runs on 24 V AC/DC, and pulls 0.29 W. That IP20 rating means it lives inside a panel, not out in the weather.
The 0-10 V, 0-20 mA, and 4-20 mA input/output set covers the three most common analog signals in industrial controls — you can match it to a pressure transmitter, a temperature probe, or a PLC analog card without needing a separate signal conditioner. The active, switchable design means it can source or sink the loop, which saves a headache when the field device and the controller don't share the same wiring convention. Galvanic isolation between input and output is confirmed, so ground loops between a remote sensor and a central panel won't drift your reading. The 6 ms rise time is fast enough for process control loops but not for high-speed motion — this is a signal converter, not a servo interface.
No clearance needed on any side (0 mm up, down, forwards, backwards, and sideways), so you can pack it tight next to other slices. The spring-cage terminals accept 20-14 AWG solid wire.
