The Siemens 3RS7006-2FW00 is a SIRIUS universal signal converter — a single-channel, active switchable device that accepts a wide range of analog inputs and converts them to a proportional output, with galvanic isolation between input and output. It handles input signals from low-level millivolt (0...60 mV) up to 0...20 V, plus current loops including 4...20 mA, 0...20 mA, and ±20 mA, making it suitable for interfacing with most industrial sensors, transmitters, and PLC analog cards. The converter snaps onto a standard DIN rail (17.5 mm width, 93 mm height, 72.5 mm depth) and can be mounted in any orientation — no clearance needed on any side.
The input voltage range is 24...240 V AC/DC at 50/60 Hz, so it can be powered from a common control transformer or 24 VDC supply without a separate power module. The converter draws only 0.5 W active power, so it adds negligible heat to a crowded panel.
No side, top, bottom, or front clearance required — you can pack modules tight. Wire termination accepts 20...14 AWG solid or stranded (1 conductor per clamp), so standard panel wiring works without special ferrules. An LED indicator on the front confirms operation — useful for quick visual checks during commissioning or fault-finding.
