The Siemens 3RS7025-2FE00 is a SIRIUS multi-range signal converter — one active channel that takes a 0-10 V, 0-20 mA, or 4-20 mA input and provides a switched output, with manual/automatic switching and a setting potentiometer on board. It runs on 24 V AC/DC (rated at 50/60 Hz) and draws 0.5 W. Snap-on mounting to a DIN rail (17.5 mm wide, 93 mm tall, 75 mm deep) and IP20 finger protection make it a straightforward panel fit — any mounting position works, and it needs 0 mm clearance on all sides.
The input accepts three common process signals — 0-10 V, 0-20 mA, and 4-20 mA — which covers most analog sensors and transmitters on a plant floor. The 24 V AC/DC supply is standard for control panels, and the 0.5 W consumption means it won't stress a 24 VDC power supply shared with other loads. Galvanic isolation between input and output protects the downstream PLC or controller from ground loops and transients. The rise time is 6 ms, and the limit frequency is 30 Hz — fine for level, pressure, or temperature signals, but not for fast pulse trains or encoder feedback.
Wiring and integration notes
Terminals accept 20-14 AWG solid or stranded (1 x 20-14 AWG). The display version has an LED for status indication.
