The 24 V AC coil (50/60 Hz) pulls in reliably across the full tolerance band (0.8...1.1 x Us at 50 Hz, 0.85...1.1 x Us at 60 Hz). The main contacts are rated 10 A in AC-12 duty (resistive loads) and deliver 3 kW at 400 V in AC-2 duty (slip-ring motors) or 6.5 A in AC-4 duty (plugging/reversing). For motor starting (AC-3), the part is rated 3.5 kW at 500 V and 4 kW at 690 V.
Screw terminals accept 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²), or max 2x (0.75...4 mm²) solid/stranded conductors; AWG equivalents are 2x (20...16), 2x (18...14), or 1x 12. The front and terminal areas carry IP20 protection — suitable for enclosed panels, not washdown zones.
The AC-12 rating (10 A) governs resistive heater or lighting loads. For motor applications, use the AC-3 power ratings: 3.5 kW at 500 V or 4 kW at 690 V. The AC-4 rating (6.5 A) matters if the contactor sees inching or reversing duty — that cycle wears the contacts faster. Short-circuit protection coordination: with type 2 coordination (minimal damage to the contactor after a fault), use a gL/gG fuse rated 20 A.
