SIRIUS S00 power contactor, 24 VDC coil
The Siemens 3RT1015-1AD02 is a SIRIUS S00 power contactor with a 24 VDC coil, rated for 10 A in AC-12 duty and 6.5 A in AC-4 at 400 V — the AC-4 figure governs motor reversing or plugging duty where the contactor makes and breaks stalled-rotor current. Mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022, occupying a 45 mm wide footprint that fits standard panel enclosures without extra spacing. The S00 frame size keeps the depth to 72 mm and height to 57.5 mm, leaving room for auxiliary contact blocks or a solid-state timer alongside on the same rail.
Switching ratings and coordination
For DC switching, the contactor handles 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V — the DC arc limits are lower than AC, so use the voltage-specific rating for the load circuit. With type 2 coordination, a 20 A gL/gG fuse protects the contactor; type 1 coordination allows a 35 A fuse. The mechanical life is rated at 30 million operations, typical for the S00 class. The AC-4 rating at 400 V (6.5 A) is the key figure for motor reversing or inching applications — this is where the contactor sees the most electrical wear.
Termination and environment
Screw-type terminals on the main circuit accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²) solid/stranded — the dual-wire entry saves a terminal block when paralleling conductors. Front and terminal protection is IP20, suitable for enclosed panel use. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C, with pollution degree 3 (conductive pollution typical in industrial cabinets). Side-by-side mounting is allowed with 6 mm clearance at the side, keeping the panel fill factor tight.
