What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3RT1015-1AF02-ZW97 is a size S00 3-pole contactor from the SIRIUS series, rated for AC-3 duty at 3 kW/400 V with a 110 V AC coil at 50/60 Hz. It carries one normally-closed auxiliary contact and terminates via screw connections. The AC-3 rating means it is sized for switching three-phase induction motors up to that power — the typical load for a small conveyor, pump, or fan in a control panel.
Integration notes
Size S00 mounts on a DIN rail and fits into the standard SIRIUS 3RT1 footprint. The screw terminals accept up to 4 mm² conductors — strip to 8 mm for a reliable connection. The 110 V AC coil draws about 0.2 A inrush, settling to a holding current around 0.02 A; verify your control transformer can supply the inrush for multiple contactors pulling in simultaneously.
