The Siemens 3RT1015-1AP02-ZW95 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the Size S00 frame — the smallest in the SIRIUS contactor family, designed for switching motor loads and resistive circuits in control panels. It carries a 24 VDC coil and is rated for 10 A at 24 V in AC-12 duty, which is the resistive-load curve for auxiliary or control circuits, not the motor-starting curve. The 45 mm width and snap-on mounting to 35 mm DIN rail (per DIN EN 50022) mean it fits standard panel layouts without extra bracketing.
What the ratings mean for fit
The headline 10 A at 24 V is the AC-12 resistive rating — the current it can make and break for purely resistive loads like heaters or control transformers. For motor duty, the ratings shift: at AC-2 (slip-ring motors) it handles 3 kW at 400 V, and at AC-4 (plugging/inching) it's rated 6.5 A at 400 V. That AC-4 figure is the one that matters for frequent reversing or jogging applications — it's lower than the resistive rating because the contactor has to interrupt motor inrush and inductive kickback. The operating temperature range of -25 to +60 °C covers most indoor panel environments, but the pollution degree 3 rating means it's intended for environments with conductive pollution (condensation, light dust) unless it's enclosed in a higher-rated cabinet.
Panel integration
The 72 mm depth is shallow enough for shallow enclosures, and the 57.5 mm height fits standard DIN-rail spacing. Screw terminals accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) solid or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) stranded, with a maximum of 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²) — that covers most control wiring gauges. Side-by-side mounting is permitted with a 6 mm gap to adjacent devices for heat dissipation, so you can pack multiple contactors on a rail without derating if you respect that spacing. The IP20 finger-safe protection on the front and terminals means it's touch-safe in an enclosed panel but not washdown-rated.
