The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT1015-1AT62 is a size S00 power contactor with three normally-open main contacts and screw-type terminals. It is designed for snap-on mounting onto a 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 50022, fitting into a 45 mm wide DIN-rail footprint — standard for control panel integration.
Motor switching and auxiliary ratings
For motor loads, the AC-4 rating at 400 V is 6.5 A — this is the switching current for reversing or plugging duty where the contactor makes and breaks stalled-rotor current. The AC-2 rating at 400 V is 3 kW, covering slip-ring motor starting. Auxiliary contact capacity is 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V. For DC switching, the contactor handles 2 A at 60 V and 0.3 A at 220 V.
Short-circuit coordination and wiring
With Type 2 coordination (no damage to the contactor after a short circuit), the required upstream fuse is gL/gG 20 A. For Type 1 coordination (contactor may need replacement), the fuse rating is gL/gG 35 A. The screw terminals accept solid or stranded conductors: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or a maximum of 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²). AWG equivalents are 2x (20 to 16), 2x (18 to 14), or 1x 12.
Sourcing and compliance
This part is sourced and quoted to order against an RFQ through independent distribution. Availability and current pricing are confirmed at quote time. The manufacturer provides standard compliance documentation including the EU Declaration of Conformity (CE) and the manufacturer's declaration for the UKCA mark. RoHS and REACH declarations are available on request. The reference code per DIN EN 81346-2 is Q (power switching device).
